San Francisco Bay Oakland International Airport sponsors season 19 of KQED TV show, “Check, Please! Bay Area”

The San Francisco Bay Oakland International Airport is sponsoring season 19 of the KQED TV show, "Check, Please! Bay Area." The James Beard and Emmy award-winning restaurant review series "Check, Please! Bay Area" launched in 2005 to welcome local diners to share their favorite Bay Area restaurants. Each week, host Leslie Sbrocco joins three local diners who recommend their top dining destinations.

Port of Oakland names Acting Assistant Director of Aviation Doug Mansel

The Port of Oakland names Doug Mansel as the Port’s new Acting Assistant Director of Aviation of San Francisco Bay Oakland International Airport (OAK). As Acting Assistant Director of Aviation, Mr. Mansel will be responsible for the Aviation Security, Terminal Services, Airside Operations, and Parking and Ground Transportation departments at OAK.

New local restaurant A16 opens at San Francisco Bay Oakland International Airport

New restaurant A16 is open and serving passengers at San Francisco Bay Oakland International Airport (OAK) as of this week. The new quick-service restaurant at OAK is based on the longstanding Michelin-recognized and award-winning streetside restaurants of the same name located in both Oakland and San Francisco.

Media On-site Request Form

News media seeking to do on-site coverage in the public, pre-security areas of the airport can simply submit a media on-site request form, which will grant access to the airport’s dedicated media parking lot adjacent to the Terminal 2 curb. Media parking lot access should be requested at least one hour prior to arrival, and applies to credentialed members of the media only. Commercial Filming, Videography, and Photography

All commercial filming, videography and photography requests must be reviewed and approved by OAK management. A minimum of two weeks is required for this process. Interested parties should click the button below to view more information and submit a filming permit request.

Free Speech Requests

A free speech permit is required for any free speech activities that take place at OAK. To obtain a permit, please download the Free Speech Permit Application and submit it to Dominic Stuth.
