Oakland, CA; (October 20, 2016): By popular demand and for the first time at the Airport, Oakland International is inviting passengers to enroll on site in the popular TSA Pre✓® expedited screening program.

TSA Pre✓® has more than 450 lanes at 167 U.S. airports, and for a limited time, Oakland International Airport is hosting a temporary enrollment event in its Terminal 2 from October 31, 2016, through November 18, 2016.

“We are always looking for ways to improve the travel experience for our customers, said Bryant L. Francis, Port of Oakland Director of Aviation at Oakland Internati

onal Airport, “and this is a great time to join the TSA Pre-Check Program in offering this convenient amenity at OAK.”

The Airport welcomes this temporary event as it approaches 12 million passengers this year, expansions to its terminal infrastructure, new flights, and new amenities such as the new Escape Lounge – a fee-based luxury lounge, and a first at OAK –  set to open in just a few weeks.

“We’d like to see participation not just from those who happen to be traveling during the event dates, but from any of our customers in Oakland and throughout the Bay Area who would love to benefit from the convenience of expedited screening,” Francis stated.

TSA Pre✓® is an expedited screening program that enables identified low-risk air travelers to enjoy a smart and more efficient screening experience. For participants in the program, there is no need to remove shoes, 3-1-1 liquids, laptops can say in their cases, and light outerwear and belts can remain on.
