Oakland, Calif. – March 6, 2024: In January of 2024, San Francisco Bay Oakland International Airport (OAK) saw significantly higher levels of international passenger traffic with an increase of 42.1 percent compared to the same month last year. The airport saw 839,381 total passengers in January, an increase of approximately 2.4 percent from January 2023.

“International passenger traffic was strong at OAK in January, reflecting the increased levels of service from our international carriers.
