Oakland International Airport Reopened Parking Lots
Oakland International Airport reopened parking lots at 2:30 p.m. today for persons to retrieve vehicles or to return cars.
The airport expects to reopen terminals and resume limited air operations as soon as it receives approval from the FAA. As of 5:30 p.m., no firm opening time had been set. Passengers should contact their airlines for details.
Passengers may apply for refunds for parking charges for the time period in which they were unable to retrieve their cars. In order to expedite clearing the parking lots, persons will be asked to pay the full charges and fill out a form requesting a refund. Because charges are calculated automatically, it would be extremely time-consuming to calculate refunds by hand as each vehicle exits the parking lots.
Persons with questions should call 510-577-4000.
