-- Depart Midweek and Park FREE for Up To Three Days --

OAKLAND, CA (Oct. 25, 2013) – San Francisco Bay Oakland International Airport (OAK) is giving passengers yet another reason to fly from OAK this holiday season with up to three days of free parking for passengers departing mid-week between Thanksgiving Day, November 28th and December 19th, a $66.00 value. Passengers flying from OAK can save time and money by enjoying the convenience of more than 7,000 parking spaces, most within walking distance of the terminals, while receiving up to three days of free parking.

"Our Park Free promotion between Thanksgiving and the December holidays has been very popular over the past few years," said Deborah Ale Flint, Aviation Director for the Port of Oakland, which owns and operates OAK. “We are pleased to provide Bay Area travelers with savings over the holidays while they enjoy the great travel experience at OAK."

This is the fourth time OAK has offered the Free Parking program and the third consecutive year it has been offered during the November to December time frame. It’s a great time for travelers to experience parking at OAK, the only truly on-airport parking.

Upon registering to print a coupon, passengers departing Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday starting on November 28th through December 19th will receive up to three days of free parking, a $66 value.  The coupon is valid for parking in OAK’s Daily Lot, located directly across from the terminals, and is available for immediate download at oaklandairport.com/parkfree.  Customers interested in downloading the coupon can follow these steps:

    • Print the airline e-ticket receipt that shows a departure from OAK on a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday between November 28th and December 19th.
    • Park in OAK’s Daily Lot and pull a parking lot ticket when entering.
    • Present paper parking coupon, airline e-ticket receipt, driver's license, and parking lot ticket to the attendant when exiting.

Passenger airlines currently offer more than 300 daily flights from OAK to destinations across the United States and Mexico, including four Hawaiian Islands, with new international service to Oslo, Norway and Stockholm, Sweden beginning in May 2014. The “Park Free” offer provides another great reason to “Park Close and Fly On-time” at San Francisco Bay Oakland International Airport.
