Testing for Passengers Traveling to Hawaii

Here is what you need to know to travel from OAK to Hawaii:

The State of Hawaii requires travelers coming to the islands to receive a COVID-19 test and provide evidence that each passenger has received a negative COVID-19 test result from a Trusted Testing and Travel Partner.

OAK has teamed up with CityHealth, a Trusted Testing and Travel Partner, to provide tests to passengers flying to Hawaii from OAK.

Visit CityHealth’s dedicated Hawaii page for up-to-date information.

Schedule your appointment as soon as possible.

Travelers to Hawaii have two options available:

Expedited Molecular PCR Test — if your flight is in less than 72 hours. (There is a $120 lab fee for expedited processing.)

Regular Molecular PCR Test — if your flight leaves in three or more days. (There is a $20 administrative fee for Hawaii’s mandated travel documentation.)

CityHealth will provide an official declaration of results to travelers taking either the Expedited or Regular Molecular PCR test.

Passengers must upload their results to the State of Hawaii’s Safe Travel website for permission to enter Hawaii. The state will issue a QR code for those with negative results, which passengers must present to board any plane bound for Hawaii.

Testing is available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
