| Concession Program
Oakland International Airport (OAK) concessions consist of food, beverage and retail shops, personal services, business services, display advertising, telecommunications services and rental cars.
- OAK has issued a Request for Proposals - No-Exclusive In-Terminal
Advertising Concession, with responses due on April 2, 2008. The Port of
Oakland anticipates a limited number of retail and food/beverage
concession opportunities to be available in mid-2008. At this time, OAK
does not have opportunities for Personal Services, Business Services or
Financial Services, and does not anticipate any such concession
opportunities becoming available in the foreseeable future.
- OAK has constructed a $300 million Terminal Improvement Program, that
includes a seven-gate extension of Terminal 2 with a new concourse,
concessions and waiting areas; expanded ticketing, security and baggage
claim facilities; and new utilities. Also, the program includes
improvements to the terminal roadway and curbside areas to ease
congestion in front of the terminals. Program completion is expected in
summer 2008.
- In 2006, Host International was awarded a contract to provide most of the food and beverage, retail
and duty free concessions at OAK. To read more about the new restaurant
and retail concepts Host is planning for OAK travelers, click here. The
contract runs through 2018.
In 2007, Andalé Mexican Restaurant opened a 1,500-square-foot casual
dining/cocktail lounge in the seven-gate extension to Terminal 2, that
features affordably-priced authentic Mexican food and beverage services.
The contract runs through 2016.
