The Oakland Airport-Community Noise Management Forum was created to address community noise concerns and make recommendations on noise related issues at the Airport. The Forum consists of representatives from local communities, Airport staff, airlines and the FAA who join efforts to facilitate cooperation between the Airport and local communities.
Forum members include one elected official and one citizen from eight neighboring cities, Alameda County and the Port Director of Aviation. Public attendance is welcomed at the Forum's quarterly meetings held at the Port of Oakland headquarters, in Jack London Square, 530 Water Street, Oakland.

A North Field Flight Pattern Research Group analyzed North Field nighttime operations in order to minimize the impact of smaller aircraft on Alameda and San Leandro. Group members include representatives from Alameda, San Leandro, the Airport and FAA.
