On-site U.S. Customs
U.S. Customs personnel are available at Oakland International
on a scheduled basis to expedite the clearance process. FedEx
operates its own import clearance center at Oakland, processing
up to 100,000 pounds of freight daily from the Pacific Rim.

Refrigerated Storage
The airport has temperature-controlled storage facilities
for perishable commodities, located within the multi-tenant
cargo building.
Bonded Warehouse and CFS
Oakland International has an on-site bonded warehouse facility
and a U.S. Customs-certified container freight station (CFS).
Both are conveniently located inside the multi- tenant cargo
building. The dock-high, high-cube facility has 24- hour direct
airfield access to the airport s main commercial runway
and to other air carrier operated cargo facilities.

Main Deck Loader
The airport owns a main deck loader that is available to ground
handlers and any scheduled or air charter service. The Lantis
Model 755 has a 60,000 pound capacity and can download a fully
loaded Boeing 747 in less than an hour.
Foreign Trade Zone
Oakland International has a Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) located
within 1.5 miles of its boundaries. Operated by Pacific-American
Services L.L.C., the facility consists of 500,000 square feet
of modern high-cube buildings, including dock-high truck capability
and direct interstate highway access.
The FTZ offers such services as storage of import/export
goods without full customs or government taxes/formalities
and duty- free inventory management and control, distribution
and manufacturing.
