Aviation Mechanic and Pilot Training

Alameda Aero Club is a not-for-profit club dedicated to making flying accessible and affordable to everyone. Alameda Aero Club has about 170 members, and offers four Cessna 172s for member rentals.

College of Alameda offers FAA- and FCC-approved aviation maintenance technology training. New evening program allows students to train full- or part-time as A&P mechanics, take pilot ground school courses, and take FAA exams at on-site computer testing facility. Download the program brochure.

Oakland Flyers is a flying club and a training facility. Oakland Flyers offer a well- maintained fleet of Piper, Cessna, and Bellanca aircraft for rent, as well as a loggable Frasca 142 Flight Simulator.

WyoTech offers FAA-approved aviation mechanic courses designed to prepare students for a variety of possible careers, such as domestic or foreign airline technician, regional and commuter airline technician, helicopter operations, and airplane/helicopter manufacturing.
