Program State of California officials use the
65 decibel (dB) Community Noise Equivalent Level
(CNEL) contour to define an airport's noise impact
area.

Procedures Air carriers and corporate jets normally
depart from the main air carrier runway adjacent
to the bay (South Field), except during emergencies,
runway maintenance and other unusual circumstances.

overflights and by flying as quietly as safety
permits.
